postcards from the Silk Road Johor

We were delighted to have cellist Elizabeth Tan and pianist Lee Jae Phang for their concert, Postcards from the Silk Road. Inspired by diverse cultures and histories, they recreated an extraordinary variety of sounds and musical traditions, transforming each work into a musical “postcard” offering glimpses into the cultures encountered along this historic route.

The programme featured works by composers from around the world, including the Johor premiere of Silk Road Rhapsody, composed and performed by Lee Jae Phang.
